osborn house makes the top 100 hotels in the world list...twice!

Forget To-Do Lists, 2023 is all about the To-Stay List.

With incredible hotels all over the world, we know there are plenty of contenders when it comes to compiling the ultimate retreat roll-call. But since opening last year, we’ve known Osborn House belongs amongst the accomodation A-list. Now, two of the most renowned and  revered travel and lifestyle publications, Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler,  have announced they agree—including us in their prestigious Best of 2023 lists.

So, if you didn’t want to take our word for it…now you can take it from travel’s most trusted!

Spanning over 37 countries on six continents, Travel + Leisure’s annual ‘It List’ is the ultimate compilation of essential hotel openings and reopenings around the world. Editors of the NYC-based publication spent the last 12 months curating the crème de la crème, and we’re thrilled to be among the 100 winners.

Listed in no particular order (or else, we’d assume we’d be a gold medal contender), Osborn House finds itself in spectacular company amongst luxury safari lodges in Zambia, deluxe bungalows in Brazil, villas in Mykonos, and boutique hotels in St. Tropez. The only other Australian hotel to make the list is The Ace in Sydney.

“Though Australia’s Southern Highlands have long been a country escape for Sydney’s elite, this residential-style hotel offers a new entry point to the region”, Travel + Leisure editor Kendall Hill says, before going on to list our chic interiors, styled by former design director for Soho House Hotels, Linda Boronkay, along with Osborn House’s spa, two restaurants, and Fire Feast as top reasons for our inclusion.

Meanwhile, over on the newly published Condé Nast Traveler Hot List, you’ll find our name in the lights, too!

A celebration of the best new openings in travel—including hotels, dining experiences, cruises, and museums—the Hot List is a one- stop-destination for travel enthusiasts, culture vultures,  and anyone eager to indulge in the world’s best experiences. The carefully curated collection is now in its 27th year, proving both its credibility and longevity. Dubbed ‘a labour of love’ for Condé Nast’s global staff, painstaking research goes into the definitive directory, including visiting and vetting every entry. Talk about a dream job!

Reviewed by CN writer Chloe Sachdev, Osborn House scored top points for mixing “twee country charm with on-trend and playful design details and filling “a much-needed gap in the market for a contemporary and fresh country escape” before declaring us “a standout” in the Southern Highlands.
