Steeped in history dating back to the 1890s, Osborn House is a lovingly restored, impeccably styled 5-star luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the Southern Highlands. Designed and styled by former SOHO House Design Director, Linda Boronkay, Osborn House pays homage to the past with a contemporary twist. Providing a world class, highly personalised experience, Osborn House is unlike any other hotel offering in Australia.
If tranquillity had a home address, it’d be 96 Osborn Ave. Surrounded by sweeping views and rolling hills, Osborn House is a playful slice of the Cotswolds in your own backyard. Nestled between Morton National Park and Bundanoon village, Osborn House is perfectly positioned, feeling both central and secluded at once.
Brimming with country charm, the small town of Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands region oozes an old world feel, with most of its early architecture perfectly preserved. Looking for a change of pace? It doesn’t get much quainter than this.
Our story begins in 1892, when early settlers George and Dinah Osborn built their grand residence, ‘The Knoll’, in what is now known as Bundanoon—but back then, was Jordan’s Crossing. Featuring panoramic views over the gullies, the Osborns opened their home to guests from the early 1900’s until 1925. Over the years, the guest house changed hands many times, at one point even housing Dutch internees at the end of WWII. In the 1980’s, Sydney-based fitness centre Solar Plexus purchased the grounds to open Solar Springs Health Retreat, which operated for 35 years.
Now, the property embarks on its most exciting chapter yet as Osborn House, a 22-room luxury boutique named after its founders.
