Osborn House is seeking exceptional, energetic Tour Guides to join our team.

This is a wonderful and unique opportunity to be a part of the founding team to launch Osborn House, making a guest’s visit to the Highlands truly memorable.

Steeped in history dating back to the 1890s, Osborn House is a lovingly restored, impeccably styled 5-star luxury boutique hotel with a contemporary twist in the heart of the Southern Highlands.

Featuring 22 Luxe Suites and Cabins, a Day Spa, Pool, Sauna, Restaurant and Bar, Osborn House is due to open to the public in Late 2021.

We are committed to providing world class, highly personalised service to our guests that elevates us from our peers.  

To deliver elevated experiences, we require energetic, well-presented and approachable Tour Guides, with excellent communication skills and a passion for food, nature and culture to guide daily walks in the beautiful Morton National Park.

Main Responsibilities

• Be organised! Gently gather the guests, be informative, prepare and stay on time where possible
• Excellent driving skills are essential for this role. Safety of the guests and the team is of high importance
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained well, fueled, kept clean and ready for the next outing
• Guide bush walking groups in our the Morton National Park
• Understand and follow the Osborn House safety procedures at all times.
• Have a passion for connecting with people. Chat, listen and tell stories

• Take care of any guest requests, preferably anticipating their needs in advance and offering suggestions to enhance their stay
• To perform light Food and Beverage experiences, including basic preparation and delivery of food and beverages

Skills

• Excellent driving skills, able to manage variety of vehicles
• Requires good communication and timekeeping skills
• Must have excellent people skills and ability to manage groups
• Ability to manage all situations as they arrive, in the bush, while driving and at offsite venues

Experience / Requirements

• Previous experience as a Tour Guide.
• Unrestricted Drivers Licence with PTD (Passenger Transport Driver Authorisation) and recent driving record.  We can assist in getting PTD accreditation if required.
• Current First aid certificate preferable
• Food safety handling certificate
• RSA preferred
• Effective handling of guest’s needs and complaints
