Purpose of Role

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will support the Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef. You will liaise with the F&B team and culinary department, engaging with guests ensuring their experience is seamless throughout their stay. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of sequence of service for the individual OH outlets
  • Assist in the creation of SOP and the training for pre-opening 
  • Assist in rostering and control of labour costs
  • Attend daily briefings in absence of the F&B manager and share the information in your briefings
  • Participate in daily and month end inventory controls and in stock ordering to par levels
  • Ensure stock levels are correct and in line with occupancy levels 
  • Participate in daily POS checks on ensuring slow moving items are removed
  • Hold daily shift briefings with the team, ensuring team are on duty well groomed as per OH standards
  • Ensure the team and yourself are well aware of the preparations of all dishes served and their ingredients 
  • Ensure the team are well versed in the food preparations and are confident in discussing this with the guests
  • Ensure the team and yourself are well aware of all dietary disorders. Make guests feel comfortable with sharing their dietary requirements and that these are coordinated with the chefs and all efforts made to accommodate them
  • Ensure prepared foods are served according to the recipe and sequence of service
  • Ensure the areas are refreshed at the end of the service period and ready for service prior.
  • Ensure all areas of service adhere to the COVID regulations and that all COVID measures of cleanliness are applied. 
  • Assist in the creation of beverage menus and ensure costings are carried out and in line with the budget prior to selling


  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have excellent people-skills and be able to create a positive working relationship with other people. 

Experience / Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the luxury sector as a F&B attendant
  • RSA
