AFRICOLA X FIRE FEAST at Osborn House
For one night only, we’re taking Fire Feast up a notch! Trust us – you do not want to miss out on this incredible celebration of food over fire coming to Osborn House this month!
On Friday 21st June, the legendary Duncan Welgemoed of Africola in Adelaide is travelling to Osborn House and he’s bringing his South African braai skills and bold African flavours to Fire Feast with him. We promise it’ll be a damn good time indeed.
Africola is one of Australia’s most unique and celebrated restaurants. It’s a vibrant celebration of African cuisine and South African braai. The menu is heavy on grilled meats, left-of-centre vegetable preparations and aromatic spice, while the experience can only be described as wildly fun and always delicious.
For Africola x Fire Feast, Duncan will be working alongside Osborn House’s chefs to deliver a menu that heroes both Argentinian and South African barbeque styles.
It’ll be a combination of some of Fire Feast’s existing and most loved dishes, like the infiernillo empanadas, and the infiernillo salt baked ocean trout, with Duncan taking the reins on some special dishes for a unique experience for our guests – we can’t wait for the wood fire smoked Rockaway Farm Chicken which he’ll spike with peri peri as he does at Africola!
Kicking off at 5pm, Africola x Osborn House is $195pp for a generous feasting menu and a welcome glass of Rameau d’Or rosé. Additional drinks will be available to purchase all night, and we’ll be offering s’mores to be enjoyed over the camp fires – the perfect way to spend a chilly Highlands evening with friends.
There’s also a surprise act who’ll make an appearance to take the night up a notch or two in typical Africola style. Expect the unexpected here, the vibes are guaranteed to be high.
Africola x Fire Feast is a special event that’s part of Savour The Unexpected, a new winter festival in the NSW Southern Highlands. Savour The Unexpected is running from Friday 21 June to Sunday 30 June and will bring together extraordinary food and wine experiences with an element of surprise at locations across the region.
